ONE TONNE OF JARRAHEach post weighs almost 1 tonne and is made of stack laminated West Australian Jarrah. The initial size of the largest was a little over 300mm x 300 mm (12" x 12") square. Length 8.9 metres. Each of these was cut on a slightly convex taper from 300mm in the centre down to 90 mm on either end. The ends were fitted with specially cast stainless steal caps.
