One of the posts ready for shrink-wrapping prior to the long haul to Sydney

Once the turning was done each piece was given 3 coats of a polymerised oil, shrink wrapped then packed into its own specially padded cradle for their long journey by road up to the Sydney University.

Because of the specialised cradles that were made for their transport, only 4 of the larger posts posts could be shipped on a semi.
