Removing a velour backed abrasive disk from the sander.

To remove a disc lift one side of it away from the Velcro back and peel it off the head (like peeling a banana).

Note the compression of the foam where the thumb is in contact with it.

The unique, flexible, compressing action of this rugged, heavy duty, closed cell foam on the head, is one of the great benefits of the Rotary Sander. This action allows the abrasive to be kept in smooth, flowing contact with both the internal and external curves of the turned item whilst the sanding is in progress.
