WOOD TURNING WORKSHOPS
INTENSIVE TWO DAY TURNING WORKSHOP WITH VIC WOOD

All course take place at the Vic's, own, well equipped studio. The intensive program will introduce and consolidate your turning experience with emphasis on the finished article. During the course you will be making objects in line with your knowledge and ability.

In addition to learning the techniques, special attention is directed towards design concepts and the aesthetics of woodturning.

To ensure individual attention we only accept 2 turners per workshop. Each has their own lathe and equipment.

Safe use of lathe and equipment

Timber qualities and limitations using natural detects

Use of gouge, skew and special turning tools

Inside and outside turning

Specialized holding methods

Finishing techniques for different timbers

Introducing joinery into turning

Segmentation, laminations and use of inlays

Reference and resource material for the turner

Tool sharpening
